The Motor Trader Awards recognise Henson in the Used Car Retailer of the Year and Website of the Year 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible Awards. The news follows recognition in the recent Automotive Industry Awards in the Best Digital Initiative category.
Henson Motor Group managing director David Wilson says:
"We are all delighted to be recognised by the UK motor industry through these awards, particularly since we are exclusively representing the north east region. Th raising chickens e awards all focus upon customer satisfaction and can be traced back to the total overhaul of our marketing strategy back in 2008, when it was clear that a tough economic climate would mean the survival of the fittest.
"We have invested heavily in our website and social media, allowing us to present up to date stock in whatever media our customers choose. Coupled with our Pricewatch Promise his has led to sales from across the UK since customers can get all the information they need about a car online. This in turn has resulted in our maintaining our position in the top five UK car dealers for Return on Sales and in the top 100 independent car dealers for the past five years in the Motor Trader Top 75 Independent Garages Survey. In the north east the survey ranks us as the number one independent used car dealer.
Henson Motor Group recently introduced the Part Exchange Runabout scheme which offers cars from £1,000, all with tax and MOT, full pre-delivery inspection, hire purchase information (HPI) check and seven days free insurance. The company is planning to open two new car supermarket sites in the north east on Wearside and Teesside. A recruitment campaign is currently underway to appoint new sales and finance executives for the new sites. These new sites will compliment their existing two and a half acre Benton outlet and three and a half acre car ni ssan GTR specification preparation site at Killingworth.
Henson Motor Group managing director David Wilson says:
"The past five years have been challenging for the motor trade, but by taking the decision never to be beaten on price, by investing in online 1086274749 technology and staff training we have been able to boost sales 26% year-on-year while maintaining our margins. This has resulted in increased customer satisfaction which creates further referrals and recommendations. While it is nice to be recognised by our peers in the motor trade through awards, our real satisfaction is in positive feedback from happy customers.
