Details announced for the 2011 Somerset in Business Conference

Covering a range of topics relating to the low carbon sector, these workshops are free to attend but spaces are likely to fill up quickly, so if you wish to take part the advice is to sign up early.

A popular occurrence on the business calendar, the annual event is organised jointly by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce and inward investment body Into Somerset. It attracts in excess of 200 delegates – with this year expected to be no audi exception.

Keynote speakers will include Senior Civil Servant Hergen Haye from the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), who will provide a national perspective on renewable energy and nuclear power; Interim-Chair of the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership, Jeremy Filmer-Bennett, who will present details about what the new par cadillac tnership is likely to auto part mean for the area; and representatives from key low carbon linked organisations such as EDF Energy, Environmental Technologies iNET, Viridor and Plymouth University.
