In October of this year, a Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy will open in Los Angeles, California. The Mercedes Driving Academy will help teens learn the skills necessary to be safe drivers.
Teen driver education will include a combination of online learning using digital animation of road hazards, in-class interactive meetings with problem-solving, and supervised in-car driver training that includes experiencing risky situations. Driving instructors will communicate with parents to help them know how to assist their teen during parent supervised training.
Training will follow along with the Graduated Driver Licensing method of obtaining a driver license. The Mercedes-Benz Driving Academy wil 2011 Chrysler 200 Convertible l give teens more than the standard driver education that includes thirty hours in the classroom and six hours behind-the-wheel.
Senior Manager, Daimler AG, Alexander Hobbach, said, "Despite the dramatic changes in vehicles, highways, and the driving environment over the past 60 years, driver education remains relatively unchanged in the U.S." In response to this problem, Mercedes-Benz is developing a better education goverment technology al method for teaching teen drivers to be completely prepared for the demands of driving. Hobbach stated that the "Driving Academy is a natural extension of Mercedes-Benz desire to achieve accident-free driving."
